Catherine Fallon first trained in natural science and obtained MSc degree in Biochemical Engineering (MIT – USA). After several years of industrial experience, she obtained a degree in Sociology (Université de Liège- Belgium). She also worked several years as Principal Administrator at the European Commission (Brussels). Since then, she invested the field of “Science and Society” by doing research in the social and political aspects of risk analysis and crisis governance. Her main interest is policy analysis and evaluation, and the sector of science policy in Belgium. Her publications record concentrates on analysis of the socio-political aspects in the "Risk Society"; the transformation of public administration in Wallonia and policy evaluations.
