Short bio

Mélanie got her Ph.D. in Economics and Management Science from HEC-ULg in 2011. She studied university-industry innovation partnerships cofinanced by regional public authorities on a longitudinal basis. She highlighted the tensions that cross these collaborations, but also the arrangements that satisfy both companies and universities when they want to innovate and create economic value. In the context of an action-research project carried out by PSGO (ULg) with the support of Creative Wallonia, she used the Creative Problem Solving Process and its tools to help the development of projects in a variety of sectors. Now working at SPIRAL, she is exploring the opportunity to create a Living Lab in the field of health in the Walloon Region. Through her experience, Mélanie has always been interested in the processes and methods that drive the collective transformation of ideas into innovations.
